So there really is a death panel

It is coordinated at the Republican National Committee.

Vox senior editor Sarah Kliff wrote a poignant account last week of her visit to Whitley County, Ky., where the uninsured rate declined 60 percent under Obamacare but 82 percent of voters supported Trump. There, Kliff, a former Post colleague, found Trump voters who were downright frightened that the president-elect would do exactly — literally — what he and Republicans promised: repeal Obamacare.

Among those she found was Trump voter Debbie Mills, a store owner whose husband awaits a lifesaving liver transplant; they got insurance through Obamacare, and Mills is hoping the law won’t be repealed.
But they have to. It is the worst law ever; Congress has never repealed a law so many times.

As the days of Obama dwindle down to a precious few, it might be nice if the people who invented and spread the lie about death panels would retract and apologize. They won't, because of the fundamental indecency of the American rightwing.

It would be soooo easy to prove me wrong . . .

Pray you do not get sick, Deplorables

It might be nice if the people who invented this dumpster fire of a law would realize "universal" health always involves rationing.

You don't like the term "death panel"? To graphic for you? Doesn't mean they don't exist.

(BTW, another one of your lies is stinking up the place. I'm betting you don't have the intellectual integrity to apologize. Par for the prog course.)

  2. From the link:

A 22-year-old woman with relapsed acute myeloid leukaemia died after being denied a second allogeneic stem cell transplant. Her doctor said her late relapse and good response to salvage chemotherapy meant there was a 50% chance that a further transplant would have cured the disease. However, the local GP-led clinical commissioning group refused to fund the procedure, which would have used healthy stem cells to try to help her bone marrow, and she received palliative care instead.

    Nope. No death panel there.

  3. Wrong country.

Not having insurance is rationing, too.

  5. Both the National Health and the VA have to limit treatment because they are underfunded thanks to rightwing ideologues who care nothing for suffering people. Thatcher gutted the National Health.

For someone who purports to be interetd in this subject you are incredibly ignorant about it.

But let's go back to death panels. Complete lie, told nd retold by rightwingers for the past 7 yeaes. Typically when caught in a massive lie, rightwingers change the subject, or try to. You cannot at RtO.

Both governments could esily afford to fund boh programs.

Harry, every time you type "rightwinger", "racist", "nazi" and all their variants, that is the sound of your brain shutting down, completely ceasing anything remotely resembling thought.

If, instead, you showed by how much the VA is underfunded, and explained the seemingly contradictory fact of senior VA managers lying about wait times -- under a progressive president -- then you might get somewhere.

Just as with Thatcher gutting the NHS.

Your relentless ignorance, which you are oddly eager to parade, never ceases to astonish.

The last time you accused me of this, it was in a thread where you changed the subject four times, while I remained on point.

Because you were caught in a lie.

    Hypocrisy much?

  7. Repeat after me: There are no death panels. There never were going to be any death panels. It was just a big lie promoted by your heroine Palin to frighten the rubes.

PS: It didn't catch only the rubes

  8. Harry, instead of suspecting for a moment that I'm going to repeat silly bovine extrusions after you, how about replying with something substantive.

You made accusations, now back them up.

  9. Name the members of any death panel. Where it sits. Where its records are kept.

If you cannot, then, repeat after me, There are not any death panels . . .

  10. Harry, you never seem to learn. You said ... the people who invented and spread the lie about death panels would retract and apologize.

You didn't actually quote anyone on what they actually said.

So how about you do that. Quote Sarah Palin, or anyone else on what they actually said.

Not on what you think, or misapprehended, or purposefully distorted, or couldn't suss because of your ideological blinkers.

Oh, and when you come up with a howler like Just as with Thatcher gutting the NHS. , why don't you own up to it?

  11. Once again, crickets.

And another addition to Harry's Big Bag o' Bollocks.

Repeat after me: It is transparently dishonest to put words in peoples' mouths.
