Big number

According to a Los Angeles Times story about a legal dispute between Apple and Qualcomm "the workings of today’s smartphones involve an estimated 250,000 patents."

    Dunno. Just keeping track of 250,000 patents sounds like a considerable task.

    I was aware there were a lot of patents involved but if I had had to guess, I'd have guessed hundreds, not hundreds of thousands
